Crystal Club- http://www.crystalclub.nl/ Couldn't really find out much about it here or elsewhere. They have an extensive website. It says Fridays more girls, a party, etc. Since I like to avoid the Wallen on Saturday, and sometimes Fridays, I thought why not check it out. It's right by DePijp, so I can see that after. I call to see who is working, she mentions about 10 names. I ask if there is a cover charge; she says no, but if I take a taxi to walk to the end of the block or something as they will have to pay the taxi a commission. I go, get buzzed in, go up to the 2nd or 3rd floor. The bartender greats me, tells me it's 150 for a half hour, 250 for a full to be with a girl. If you see a girl you'd like to talk to, just tell him and she will sit next to me. I sit at the bar and order a drink, which you can do without a cover. Within 5 minutes, every girl in the place, about 10 total has come up and introduced themselves to me. No pressure, don't sit next to me and try to chat me up, just back to where they were sitting. Not an ugly girl, but not a stunner (to me). After about half an hour, a girl plants herself in the chair next to me. We have a pleasant enough conversation. But, she's a girl that if I see her at a pub at home, I may go for it, but I'm not paying 150 in Amsterdam. I'm a grass is always greener guy, and know I had DePijp in my back pocket, and if that didn't pan out, Wallen & Singel. Unfortunately, I always think one more drink, one more lap the girl I've been looking for will be there. They never are, I'm just more tired and drunk. I digress. After an hour plus, I decide to cut bait. Apparently I surprised the girl and bartender. During my time, not a single other bloke came in. The girl told me they are busy during the week at lunch and right after work. A regular mixed drink is about 10-15. There is a card on the bar with the price of what a drink is if you buy a girl a drink. As all of the educated in this area know, there is no shame in if a girl asks you to buy her a drink, to ask what she wants, and how much is it. No one asked me to buy her one, but the prices were crazy to buy a lady one.

I was hoping for a kind of "higher end" or more GFE kind of experience, and the rooms at the Crystal Club sounded very nice so I thought I would give it a try even though it was pretty expensive (which was one of the reasons to try, as I thought so might the women also be at a higher level than other places).

The Crystal Club was pretty easy defined, well marked. I buzzed to go in and they let me upstairs - at the top the hostess explained that the way the club worked was that the rooms were 230 euro (I think, my memory of the exact price is hazy) and then you also negotiated with the woman you took up to the room for any services.

As I said, expensive, but I thought I'd circle the room and see how things looked… I said hello and shook hands with each of the women. Perhaps it was just being so close but none of them looked that great to me, and with the added expense of the room I just could not bring myself to take any of them up on anything. Im sure they all hated me for diving in and leaving in five minutes, but there is of course no obligation (and there was no entrance fee).

On the way out I asked the hostess if they had different girls each night, and she said "you'll have to come back to see"! Not in a rude, way, more of a sales pitch. I think not though.
