Bluto, may I ask you a question as I'm also new on here. I know I can't send PMs for that reason for example. At which point do new users get this access? Is there a specific number of posts one has to make and if so how many, or is there something else too?

As I need to keep the hosting of this site very cheap, private messaging is indeed only available to established users that meet certain criteria. I am not going to reveal that information because it's only an invitation for people to spam the site in order to achieve that objective. Basically I am worried about spammers sending mass messages to large numbers of users and filling up my database with rubbish. I have no time or inclination to solve such problems. If anything "bad" ever happens here in future, I will simply close the site, which is already close to pointless given that De Wallen has been absolute garbage for at least a decade. As for the areas/cities actually worth visiting, other sites do a better job of covering them.

This website only continues to exist for nostalgia, only because a handful of friends of mine would be disappointed if it went away. There will be no further changes, nor upgrades, nor will I be accommodating any feature requests, support requests or, frankly, anything else. Not the answer you were looking for but it's all there is. Thanks for understanding.

The amount of knowledge contained in this database is invaluable. If this site were to go away, it would be an incalculable loss to humanity. If you ever decide to close it down (please don't!), I hope you offer it to the Library of Congress or the Smithsonian. Ignatzmice is a unique artifact.

Seconded. For me this has been a place to wash up at irregular intervals every since 2005 lol. So much nicer any of the UK sites I used to use, which were just filled with angry and unhappy people picking at each other's scabs.
