Since Amsterdam is fully booked on Saturday, November 3rd, I decided to take the opportunity to stay elsewhere for one night before spending the next 3 in Amsterdam. I got a hotel in Haarlem and look forward to seeing the town there. What I want to know is how the RLD is over there. Is it cheaper? Are the choices as good or worse? What times are the best? For that matter, I was planning a quick trip to Alkmaar to see what's doin there.

And before some wise guy self appointed message board administrator wastes my time and responds by saying "Check the device" or "Read the boards", I have already. Not much recent information provided, especially with regards to the ladies and the RLD. That's why I'm asking here. So chill.

Both Haarlem and Alkmaar are very nice to visit but IMO, Alkmaar is the better choice for RLD fun. Take the train to Alkmaar and then walk to the Achterdam (very easy to find).

Te Laat is the closest Hotel to the Achterdam. De Brug is the best Coffeeshop/Bar to hang out in between sessions. The Cheese Market area is the Central part of town and most scenic. If you have a choice, go on thursday evening (shops stay open later).
