Simon Woodroffe, flying British Airways one fine day, found himself upgraded to first class. Simon arrives in his first class capsule-thing. It occurs to him, "Wow, what a great hotel this would make!". Thus the concept of "Yotel" was born. Yotel must be a synonym for "tosser" as far as we can make out. At any rate, one of the things, their third, is coming to Amsterdam Schiphol, it's due to open in 2008. The capsule-like confines of air travel have been expanded to full closet size, and rooms can be booked by the hour (according to their own website) or overnight. It's interesting that on their website, they proclaim "book by the hour", but when one trolls through the reservation system one is informed that there is a four hour minimum. This being Holland and all, it's natural to wonder what their policy regarding visits by prostitutes will be. It seems like the idea is a natural. We're sure, with all the posts on our message board from those making lay-overs, that inquire about the availability of prostitutes at or near Schiphol, it's only a matter of time before the issue comes up. Lay-over lays. Snicker. Ps: A source who is me reveals, Axxxtw is just jealous because British Airways has never upgraded him to their first class capsule-things, which he drools over on his way back to the cattle-car-screaming-shitty-baby holding area, because then he would've thought of this idea first, and now he could be writing an article extolling the virtues of this brilliant "Yotel" idea.
